BILINGUAL EDUCATION EXCHANGE Music at BEE in 2010
BEE Junior Choir - 11:55-12:40 on a Wednesday.
The bilingual Junior Choir sings a varied repertoire of English and French songs with the
emphasis being on joining in and having fun singing together. Open to all primary chil-
dren from Moyenne Section to CM2.
BEE Buzz Music Classes 2 - 3 year olds 9:30-10:00am Wednesday
3 ½ - 6 year olds 13:00-13:45pm Wednesday
More than just a sing-along, at BEE Buzz classes children work on reproducing tunes,
understanding rhythms, and developing early musical concepts via simple songs and
pieces, and collaborative group work on different instruments.

Groups at BEE on a Wednesday — paid per term in advance:
3 pupils for 30 minutes – 5€ per pupil per lesson
2 pupils for 30 minutes – 6€ per pupil per lesson
Individual for 30 minutes – 12€ per pupil per lesson
Lessons at pupil’s home – paid per term in advance:
2 pupils for 30 minutes - 10€ per pupil
Individual for 30 minutes - 15€
Instruments available on hire at 20€ per term (except recorders) – we can also source instruments to buy.
We can, if wished, arrange for pupils to take Royal Schools of Music exams so that pupils can stay on par with
their English peers. However, as this option is expensive and pupils would have to travel for the exam, we can offer our own private exams which will be at the equivalent levels as the RSM but with our own certificates. In
this way, pupils have a reference for their level. Grade 5 is equivalent to a GCSE; Grade 8 is equivalent to an A level, and is the standard level for entrance into most music schools and professional/good orchestras. Grade
5 is also a good standard for any pupil wishing to join any orchestra or band, including the Bandas here in France.
